Fury is training in nearby South Beach for his yet-to-be-announced bout against fellow former two-time heavyweight champion and countryman, Anthony Joshua.

In the meantime, the hot topic that was most pressing was Fury’s first thoughts on Itauma fumbling the fight by gassing out in the ninth round. The previously unbeaten Brit was stopped after Fury’s former trainer, Ben Davison, threw in the towel to save his charge from further suffering any debilitating damage.

Itauma, universally considered a surefire bet to be the next face of the division, was taken out of the ring on a stretcher after the rough encounter.

“That’s boxing, it happens,” Fury told Bloody Elbow, adding that he “doesn’t know” if Itauma will be back and that we’ll have to “wait and see” how Itauma's career will unfold.

Fury then added he is open to facing Hrgovic, the newly crowned IBF titleholder.

“If the money is right, I’ll fight anybody,” Fury said.

The former WBC champ also stepped inside the BKB trigon ring for an interview with Gareth Davies to offer the latest update on where the Joshua fight currently stands after months of turbulent negotiations.

“I’m here in Miami at the moment, training for the biggest fight in boxing,” Fury said. “I’m just keeping fit and staying out of trouble. When the fight arrives, it arrives.

“There is not much more to tell you. Eddie Hearn and AJ are looking for a few more quid, as always. I don’t think they are running scared. We’re prizefighters. But yeah, when the deal is right, I’m sure they’ll sign.”
