On Saturday, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion gets the chance to show what he's been working on when fighting Albania's Kristian Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The event will be available to watch and streamed exclusively on DAZN pay-per-view.

Joshua's December knockout of Jake Paul was seen as a formality prior but the 36-year-old clearly learned enough during preparations, entrusting his future to Iegor Golub and the team who propelled Usyk to the very top.

Joshua's decision to link-up with a man who beat him twice raised eyebrows when announced but he has thrown himself into his new routine and seems happy with the choice. That doesn't mean that he has been able to relax.

"You can't settle. If you're settled, they ain't pushing you hard enough," Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) told The Ring.

"But I respect and know the team. I know what's expected of me. I'm settled in that way but definitely not settled with the amount of hard work that comes my way. It's unsettling. But they want results. They're not supposed to make it comfortable."

This weekend's fight gives Joshua and his team another useful chance to get used to each other as a long-awaited fight with his British rival Tyson Fury draws ever closer.

Provided Joshua beats Prenga and Fury beats Polish warhorse Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday, the build-up to a long overdue fight between them can really start.

Although both are now in their mid-30s, interest in the fight has never been higher.

Over the past few weeks, speculation has raged as to where and when a fight would take place. London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas have all been mentioned as potential venues and start times ranging from 9pm to 2am BST have been mooted.

Given the UK's climate, it would be a leap of faith to arrange an outdoor fight in the early hours of a winter morning.

However, both are accustomed to performing in front of huge crowds in UK stadiums and Joshua would love for the fight to take place in front of the British fans.

"That would be amazing," he said. "God willing I get through Saturday, everything I've worked on happens in the ring and what I say is what I do. I'll become victorious blahdy blahdy blah and what I believe, happens.

"It'll be amazing to for it to be [in the UK]. Imagine that? What is the biggest stadium in the UK? Wembley. Spot on. That would be amazing.

"That's a dream. Wow. You know, we're working towards bringing it to a reality and it starts with Saturday."
