Australian Nicolson, a two-weight world champion, began her professional career with Matchroom Boxing, who today joined forces with MVP as part of a "strategic alliance" to grow women's boxing.

Nicolson will defend her WBC junior featherweight title against Miyo Yoshida on August 29, 2026, at BP Pulse Live in Birmingham, England. The 10-round bout will air live on Sky Sports as part of the Mikaela Mayer vs. Chantelle Cameron undercard.

Nicolson (16-1, 3 KOs) beat Sarah Mahfoud by unanimous decision in April 2024 to win her first world title at 126 pounds. She lost it to Tiara Brown just under a year later and has since won three straight at 122 pounds, where she was elevated from WBC 'interim' champ to full titlist after former champion Ellie Scotney moved up in weight earlier this year.
