There aren’t many opponents that Jarrell Miller hasn’t managed to get rid of before the final bell.
However Miller hasn't picked up a KO win since 2023 against Lucas Browne. That was also the last time he found himself in the victory circle.
When Miller (26-1-2, 21 KOs) steps into the ring this upcoming weekend for The Ring 6 at New York’s Madison Square Garden against Kingsley Ibeh, he believes that will change.
“I would be very disappointed if this fight went 10 rounds,” Miller told The Ring. “There’s no way I can allow this guy to go the distance with me.”
Miller is particularly offended by the notion he will be beaten by someone who has a second profession; Ibeh is a licensed insurance salesman.
“I don’t have a day job, he has a day job. He sells insurance,” Miller said. “I’m gonna beat the [expetive] out of him.”
It’s been a while since anyone could say they’ve actually done that to Ibeh. In 2021, Jared Anderson showed Ibeh (16-2-1, 14 KOs) that there are levels to the game. But, he’s since learned from that defeat and gone on to win 11 straight. Of those 11 opponents, 10 haven’t seen the final bell.
Miller may have gone 0-1-1 in his last two fights, but that hasn’t dented the Brooklynite's confidence. He also doesn’t believe his winless streak has hurt his star appeal.
The way he sees it, beating Ibeh would open the door to big-time fights.
“There’s a lot of great opportunities ahead of us,” Miller continued. “There’s plenty of talks for future fights, I just gotta handle business Saturday.”
DAZN will distribute “The Ring 6” on pay-per-view to non-subscribers in the United States ($69.99) and in the United Kingdom (£24.99). It is included in DAZN’s Ultimate monthly plan for subscribers ($44.99 in the U.S.; £24.99 in the UK).
