At long last, the biggest fight in British boxing history is set.
Tyson Fury will face Anthony Joshua on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, live on Netflix. Their 12-round bout, which was officially announced on Thursday, will be for the WBA heavyweight title.
There’s been no shortage of roadblocks to finally reach this point. The long-awaited showdown nearly went into the abyss again in their final tune-up fights when Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) had to overcome two knockdowns in the first round before he stopped Kristian Prenga (20-2, 20 KOs) in the ensuing round on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) scored a seventh-round stoppage of Mariusz Wach on July 24 in Pattaya, Thailand.
