Simsri will face the Filipino challenger, who is rated No. 13 by the IBF, on neutral territory at the Fujisanmesse, which is at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan.

Ohashi Promotions and Suruga Danji Promotions will co-promote the show which also has Shunpei Ohata (8-1, 5 KOs) and Pete Apolinar (20-7-1, 13 KOs) pitted against each other.

"This fight will undoubtedly be a tough one," Simsri (40-1, 35 KOs) told The Ring. "I need to be fully prepared and certainly won't underestimate my opponent."

Simsri, who is rated No. 2 by The Ring at 108 pounds, ran through his first 24 opponents before coming unstuck against Masamichi Yabuki, losing by seventh-round stoppage.

After an eight-fight win streak, the 26-year-old marked his return to the elite with a 12-round points win over Miel Fajardo. Defenses against John Paul Gabunilas (TKO 5) and Masataka Taniguchi (SD 12) followed, before claiming vacant IBF honors with a razor-thin split decision nod over Christian Araneta.

In his maiden defense Simsri impressively stopped mandatory challenger Sergio Mendoza (KO 2) on April 13.

Meanwhile, Vicelles (21-2-1, 11 KOs) has been a professional for a decade. He gained traction with a pair of first-round knockouts over countrymen Richard Claveras and Jaysever Abcede in 2022. However, he was upset by Regie Suganob (TD 8) in an IBF eliminator in February 2023.

The 30-year-old southpaw righted the ship with three wins before he was stopped by Kosuke Tomioka (TKO 7) up at flyweight last September. He got back in the win column earlier this year when he beat Carlo Diaz (UD 10).
