Garcia (26-2, 21 KOs) dropped and stopped Conor Benn (25-2, 14 KOs) with ease inside 4 ½ minutes to make his first WBC welterweight title defense. Immediately afterward, attention turned to who would be next for Garcia.

Garcia called out first WBA welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez, who couldn't bulldoze his way through security to enter the ring and confront his fellow beltholder. WBO 147-pound beltholder Devin Haney was also ringside and received an expletive-filled callout from his former foe, as rematch talk continues two years after their meeting.

And then there was Shakur Stevenson, The Ring and WBO 140-pound champion working the Zuffa Boxing broadcast as an analyst.

"The biggest fight is Ryan and me. It's going to happen one day," Stevenson said.

"I know that he and I are definitely two top-of-the-line guys. We're the best of the best, and once again, I would love to make the fight happen when it presents itself. It's going to be an amazing fight. I know Ryan Garcia's game. He's going to come in there and bring his best. But I'm on an entirely different level, and I know that."

Stevenson and Garcia got into a verbal squabble right after Garcia beat Mario Barrios in February. The main sticking point was whether they would agree to a 144-pound catchweight fight.

As both sub-30-year-old fighters continue to grow their profiles, the timing of the tilt will be of incredible importance to ensure an encounter unfolds while they're still in the prime stages of their careers.

"Yeah, honestly, it definitely is more realistic [that Garcia is a face of boxing]. I feel like he put on a great performance," Stevenson said.

"He looks as though to be one of the faces of boxing. Once again, it's hard to put a pinpoint number on one face of boxing, but I feel like as far as top guys go, he's one of the four kings, and definitely a big name in boxing."

Stevenson predicted a fifth-round knockout win for Garcia courtesy of a left hook before the bout against Benn.

Instead, it was a rocket of a right hand from Garcia that rocked and dropped the British rival, and a flurry of punches that ended it.

"Garcia came out with a lot of adrenaline early," Stevenson said. "He was moving around before the fight started. He caught Conor with a nice left hook, was trying to run Conor into shots, and he kept hitting him with big shots earlier, and then the knockdown came."
