O’Shaquie Foster will defend his WBC 130-pound title against Raymond Ford at Fertitta Center in the champion's hometown of Houston.

Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) is The Ring’s No. 2-ranked junior lightweight. Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs) is No. 6.

Foster is coming off one of the most impressive wins of his career, a dominant unanimous decision over former two-division champion Stephen Fulton on Dec. 6. Ford, of Camden, New Jersey, improved to 3-0 at junior lightweight in his last outing, a unanimous decision over Abraham Nova in August.

Th 32-year-old Foster is in his second title reign as the WBC 130-pound champion, while Ford, 27, is looking to become a two-division world champion.

There’s been no shortage of bad blood, as there have been multiple fiery exchanges in the build-up to their fight. Ford and Foster have had to be separated on numerous occasions during face-offs during fight week.

The winner should be in the driver's seat to land a compelling unification bout against either IBF and WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete (40-2-1, 33 KOs) or WBA titleholder Anthony Cacace (25-1, 9 KOs) next.

Foster: “I'm gonna dominate from round one to whenever the fight ends. If he gets too reckless, like I told him, it's gonna be a bad night for him.”

Ford: “I actually feel like an underdog. I felt like an underdog with Kholmatov, too, but this fight, I'm really feeling it, because it's a lot of eyes on this fight. I really feel like an underdog, and that's how I've been training.”

The reigning champion is the clear favorite. DraftKings Sportsbook has Foster at -175 odds, while Ford is +140. The oddsmakers believe it's likely the outcome will be decided by the judges. Foster is -105 and Ford +220 to get the nod if it goes 12 rounds. A win by stoppage is +550 for Foster and +700 for Ford. The odds for a draw are +1400.

A pair of intriguing undefeated prospects round out the undercard. Lightweight prospect Charlie Sheehy will fight in a 10-rounder for the first time in his career when he faces Nike Theran (20-2, 14 KOs) in the co-main event. Omari Jones (6-0, 4 KOs), a 2024 U.S. Olympic bronze medalist, will face unbeaten Diego Zuniga (9-0, 6 KOs) in an eight-round junior middleweight fight.
