After another bumper week of boxing action, there are more changes across The Ring's divisional rankings, and there's even been an alteration to the pound-for-pound list, too.
After another bumper week of boxing action, there are more changes across The Ring's divisional rankings, and there's even been an alteration to the pound-for-pound list, too.
On July 30, Kenshiro Teraji lost his WBC and WBA flyweight titles to Ricardo Sandoval in an exciting, back-and-forth encounter. That very same night saw Antonio Vargas retain his WBA bantamweight title after a 12-round unanimous draw with Daigo Higa, who announced his retirement soon after.
Elsewhere on that undercard in Yokohama, Kyosuke Takami won the WBA junior flyweight title with a 10th-round TKO win over Erick Rosa.
Two days later in Caracas, Venezuela, Carlos Canizales became the new WBC junior flyweight titleholder with a dominant 5th-round knockout victory against Thailand's Panya Pradabsri.
There was also non-tile action at the weekend as Oscar Duarte beat Kenneth Sims by majority decision across 12 rounds of action in Chicago. On the undercard, Regis Prograis survived numerous onslaughts to outpoint Joseph 'JoJo' Diaz across 10.
Scroll down to to read the alterations made to the four divisions and P4P list:
