Manny Pacquiao has had an eventful few days since returning to the United States.
Fun and games continued on Tuesday when the southpaw slugger threw a ceremonial first pitch at the Yankees game in New York.
Pacquiao brought some good luck with him as well as the Yankees rallied with four runs in the eighth inning to beat the Athletics, 5-3.
Pacquiao also joined the YES Network broadcast booth during the second inning to share that baseball was the first sport he tried in elementary school before moving on to boxing.
In recent days, Pacquiao has been recognized at Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Kings games and was also ringside watching his son Manny Jr. pick up his first win as a professional in Temecula, California.
Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) is scheduled to face Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) in a rematch on September 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao also offered an update on the rematch after Mayweather’s recent comments, labeling the sequel an exhibition without a firm location, added a layer of doubt around the event.
“Both of us signed the contract already and got our advance [payments],” said Pacquiao. “I think there is no reason that the fight is not true.”
