The long-awaited British megafight was announced on Thursday following months of negotiations and contractual disputes.

However, a post on X by The Ring’s Mike Coppinger on Friday night revealed that the fight could be “called off due to issues” just days after it was finally confirmed.

Now White, who was in London this week for his Zuffa Boxing show headlined by Johnny Fisher’s victory over Michael Pirotton, says he also has his doubts.

When asked whether he expects Fury and Joshua to fight at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11 as planned, he said: “That, I don’t know. … I don’t know.

“The guy who is supposed to be helping the fight has been hurting the fight the entire time. He hasn’t done the fight any favors, let’s put it that way.

“But we will see.”

White was referencing Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn, with whom he has had a very public spat ever since his move into boxing with Zuffa.

White believes Hearn is the one responsible for damaging the fight’s chances of happening and suggested the British promoter could take matters into his own hands if he really wanted to.

He said: “If Eddie Hearn really cared about this fight, first of all, that fight would have happened a long time ago, No. 1.

“No. 2, he could finance the thing himself. I mean, I've said this a million times, but finance the fight yourself. Sell tickets, cut a TV deal and sell the fight.

“It's pretty crazy. Think about it; the guy who is actually heavily invested in this fight, and he and his client are supposed to make a s--- load of money off this fight, is the one who is hurting it. It's pretty crazy. But I told you, the guy is full of f------ s---, so it doesn't surprise me.”

Finally, White was asked whether he will be in attendance when the fight is formally announced at the launch press conference. He said: “I guess I’ll leave that as a surprise.”
