The 28-year-old, who outpointed Mayelli Flores over 10 grueling rounds on April 5 to achieve a long-held dream, is targeting a Stateside assault of the featherweight world champions.

IBF beltholder Nina Meinke (21-3, 4 KOs) is unlikely to return until early 2027 after undergoing a second back surgery on a herniated disk in April, weeks after outpointing Dyana Vargas to retain her IBF crown.

Ring and WBA, WBO champion Amanda Serrano (49-4-1, 32 KOs) seeks to surpass Christy Martin's 21-year knockout record after matching it with a second-round stoppage of Cheyenne Hanson on May 30.

The future Hall of Famer's third appearance of the year comes in a unified title defense against Argentina's little-known hopeful Lucrecia Manzur (14-4, 7 KOs) on August 21. The current landscape leaves WBC champion Tiara Brown (21-0, 11 KOs) available, having outpointed the late Hannah Rapp on June 13 in Orlando, Florida.

Scotney told BBC's Steve Bunce she hoped they could agree terms to feature on the Mikaela Mayer-Chantelle Cameron undercard come August 29 given the UK vs. U.S. element to the show at Birmingham's bp pulse LIVE.

Instead, she appears headed for an "American away day" the following month, though no date has been set.

"One thing I've not done in my career is gone over to the [opponent's] backyard and beaten a champion. If there's one thing to do at a new weight, my biggest fight and hardest opponent, I want to do that next."

"I've never smiled so much, it's not so much making the weight, you don't have to lose another four pounds," she said about moving up a division, having joked about needing an emergency haircut to make weight previously.

That won't be the case any longer, vowing to show her best self at 126 pounds.

While they operate in different divisions now, she's also open to facing former WBC featherweight titleholder Skye Nicolson in future after the Australian's recent alliance with the MVP brand was made official last month. An undisclosed training injury last week saw her 122-pound title defense against Miyo Yoshida postponed indefinitely.

"I've chased the big fights and becoming undisputed was part of that, now I'm fighting Tiara who beat Skye. It's about fighting whoever is the number one at the weight I'm in and that's 126. I couldn't get Serrano but Tiara is a great fighter, I'm loving and looking forward to a full [fight] announcement, then going over there."

Serrano could very well retire by year's end but, unsurprisingly, Scotney continues to have conversations with the matchmakers about potentially fulfilling a legacy-enhancing wish before the Puerto Rican does depart.

"The legacy she's built for us [fellow women], she carries it more than what she does in the ring and I'd love to share the ring with her. I've spoken to MVP [about making the fight happen], all eyes on Tiara but I would love it."
