Frank Martin interested in rematch with Nahir Albright after draw

The disappointment was etched all over Frank Martin’s face when the judges' scorecards were read out after his fight with Nahir Albright.
The 31-year-old stepped to Albright the moment the opening bell rang this past weekend. During the lead-up to their fight, Martin promised to win by stoppage.
Albright, however, was far more difficult to deal with than he realized. After sharing the ring for 10 rounds, all three judges sitting ringside at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas scored it the same, 95-95.
Martin (19-1-1, 13 KOs) is grateful another loss wasn’t plastered to his record. But overall, he’s far from happy with his performance.
“I could’ve done a lot better,” Martin said during the post-fight presser. “There’s some things that I saw that I wasn’t capitalizing on. He’s an awkward, good fighter. He’s strong, his movement is a little difficult. So I see why he gave guys problems in the ring. And he got some pop on his punches too.”
Giving top contenders and prospects hell is what Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) does best. Keyshawn Davis eked out a close majority decision over him in 2023, before it was overturned to a no-contest. In 2025, Albright handed Keyshawn’s brother, Kelvin Davis, the first loss of his career.
For Martin, it’s now one step forward and two steps back. He bounced back nicely from his eighth-round stoppage defeat at the hands of Gervonta Davis by knocking out Rances Barthelemy on December 6, 2025.
Still, the 140-pound division is flooded with top names he could face next. Nevertheless, he would much rather fight Albright again.
“He put up a good fight,” Martin continued. “He’s a tough opponent. If we can go at it again, I’m willing to do a rematch. All respect to him.”
