Welterweight Harlem Eubank is set to return to the ring on April 4 before a big Brighton homecoming in the summer.
The 32-year-old's last outing was his lopsided points win over Josh Wagner at Brighton Centre on November 11, which got him back to winning ways after a July defeat by Jack Catterall.
Now ranked No. 15 with the IBF, Eubank, the cousin of Chris Jr, is set for a run-out at London's o2 Arena on the undercard of Derek Chisora's clash with Deontay Wilder.
Promoter Kalle Sauerland told The Ring: "We are looking to get Harlem out on that card, probably in an eight-round fight.
"But that is with a view to putting him in a big fight back in Brighton in June."
Sauerland has made no secret of his desire to match Eubank with Regis Prograis but is now looking elsewhere after the news that the two-time junior welterweight world champion will face Conor Benn on April 11 instead.
And he says that could lead them to The Ring's No. 8-rated 140 pounder Arnold Barboza Jr, who is preparing to step up to welterweight in his fight against Kenneth Sims Jr on March 14.
Sauerland added: "I want a name for Harlem, someone who people know.
"Prograis is tied up now, we missed the boat a bit on that but my brother Nisse was talking about Barboza, someone like that. So then when Harlem beats him, it gives him that belief to move onwards and upwards.
"That's the art of matchmaking. Unfortunately it's not like phoning up and ordering a pizza, these can be complicated fights to make but we are working on it.
"But first, let's get April 4 done and dusted, a good performance, then all back down to the seaside in the sun in June."
