Five months after they were first scheduled to fight, Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman are finally set to face each other.
Premier Boxing Champions announced Monday that Fundora and Thurman will meet for Fundora’s WBC 154-pound title in the main event of a Prime Video PPV on March 28 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. PBC also announced a press conference in Los Angeles at Avalon Hollywood on Wednesday, beginning at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
Fundora and Thurman were originally scheduled to fight on October 25, but a hand injury forced the former to withdraw two weeks before the fight.
Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) is The Ring’s No. 2-ranked junior middleweight. “The Towering Inferno,” who stands at a staggering 6-foot-5-and-a-half, is coming off a seventh-round stoppage of Tim Tszyu in their rematch on July 19.

Furdora, 28, has won three straight fights since suffering the lone defeat of his career, a seventh-round knockout to Brian Mendoza in 2023.
Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) is seeking a world title in a second weight class. The 5-foot-9 former unified welterweight champion will be entering the ring after another lengthy layoff, as his last fight was a third-round knockout of an overmatched Brock Jarvis in March of last year.
Thurman, 37, has only fought twice since losing a split decision to Manny Pacquiao in 2019. In his only other bout, he beat WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios by unanimous decision in 2022.
The Clearwater, Florida, native was originally set to get his first title shot at 154 pounds against Tszyu in March 2024 before a biceps injury caused him to withdraw. Fundora stepped in on 12 days' notice and beat Tszyu by split decision to become the WBC and WBO 154-pound champion in one of the bloodiest fights in recent memory.
