There are changes aplenty within The Ring's divisional rankings after a busy Saturday slate of fights topped by Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven headlining 'Glory in Giza' on Egyptian soil.
Ring and unified heavyweight champion Usyk (25-0, 16 KOs) survived a scare to retain his titles in the main event against a kickboxing icon whose stock rose exponentially in defeat and won't be short of options now.
The Ukrainian remains top of the tree within the sport's glamour division and retains second spot on the pound-for-pound list after his late show. However, Frank Sanchez's dramatic second-round knockout of Richard Torrez sees the Cuban veteran seize the Olympic silver medalist's place in the bottom half of an ever-changing top-10.
Hamzah Sheeraz (23-0-1, 19 KOs) ended a 10-month layoff with an early night's work to dispatch of Alem Begic inside two rounds, claiming the vacant WBO super middleweight strap.
That result completes the set of new champions after Canelo Alvarez's defeat by Terence Crawford last September, as the Mexican legend prepares to challenge WBC beltholder Christian Mbilli in Saudi Arabia on September 12.
Elsewhere, there are new entrants at junior middleweight and welterweight. The former comes after a surprising decision win in Germany, the latter a direct result of inactivity as well as moving parts prompted by Jack Catterall's career-best points victory against Shakhram Giyasov for the WBA 'regular' title in Egypt.
