The 31-year-old was dropped and stopped in the 10th round of a pulsating all-Irish clash with Gary Cully at 3Arena as part of the undercard for the event headlined by Mark Chamberlain’s victory over Pierce O’Leary.

Reeves was carried out of the ring on a stretcher and immediately taken to hospital with an update from Queensberry, who promoted the event, describing his condition as “critical but stable” on Sunday.

Now five days on from the fight, Queensberry head Frank Warren has provided a further update on Reeves’ condition.

“My team have been in touch with Lee Reeves’ team and he is making progress,” Warren told a reporters during a roundtable on Wednesday.

“That’s what we are hearing and thank the lord for that.”

While Reeves continues his recovery, it was confirmed on Wednesday that former world title challenger Raven Chapman, herself a former Queensberry fighter, is currently in a Danish hospital after collapsing following a sparring session.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds to support her recovery with Queensberry Promotions donating £20,000 to the pot.

Warren added: “With Lee and with Raven it’s all about time. Time, hopefully, is a healer. They’ve both had traumatic experiences.

“I’ve been made aware of what happened with Raven, she was with us two years ago, I have been in touch with her family and they are giving us regular reports.

“It is just about time. That’s what it is and we keep praying they will be OK and can get back to their families as soon as possible.”
